This policy applies to Rondthaler.dev only -- the personal brand and informational site of John (Chris) Rondthaler. It does not govern IT CloudLink LLC client engagements, which are covered by separate Master Service Agreements and, where applicable, Business Associate Agreements under HIPAA.

What Rondthaler.dev Collects

Analytics

This site uses Plausible Analytics for aggregate, anonymous traffic statistics -- page views, referral sources, general browser and device type, and country-level location. According to Plausible's data policy, it does not use cookies or persistent identifiers and does not store IP addresses.

Contact Form

Submissions through the contact form are processed by Formspree and delivered to Rondthaler.dev for follow-up. With JavaScript disabled, submitting the form takes you to Formspree's own confirmation page instead of staying on this site. Submitting the form does not add you to a mailing list. Your information is not used for marketing without explicit consent.

Third Parties

This site shares data with:

  • Cloudflare -- hosting and CDN. Cloudflare's edge network logs standard web request data (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for hosting, security, and abuse-prevention purposes.
  • Plausible Analytics -- aggregate, anonymous traffic analytics.
  • Formspree -- contact form processing.
  • Our email provider -- receives every form submission.

We do not disclose your information to anyone other than these providers, except as required by law.

What This Site Does Not Do

  • No tracking cookies
  • No advertising networks
  • No cross-site analytics
  • No user accounts
  • No sale or sharing of personal data

Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control

This site does not track visitors across other websites, so Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change what this site collects. Plausible Analytics does not check for or respond to these signals either -- it has nothing to turn off, since it never uses cookies, persistent identifiers, or cross-site tracking in the first place.

IT CloudLink LLC -- Separate Entity, Separate Agreements

If you become an IT CloudLink LLC client, data handling is governed by your service agreement and, for covered healthcare entities, a signed BAA. Those obligations are separate from and independent of this site's privacy practices.

Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained by Rondthaler.dev as long as necessary for business record-keeping. Plausible analytics data is aggregate and anonymous -- no individual record exists to delete.
